LPDAM case files: clients, courts & lawyers
JOE:
Sean, what should someone do if they feel they are being treated unfairly by the court or their lawyer?
SEAN:
Joe, there is actually a lot someone can do when they are unhappy with their lawyer or how the court is handing their case. However, I am in the resolution business or positive outcomes business, so I would start with opening a good line of communication with my lawyer. To understand your case, you have to understand what the lawyer’s strategy is. Far too often a lawyer thinks they are communicating with their client when in fact they are not. A client who doesn’t understand the process is more than likely to fell underrepresented and make poor decisions that affect their long term stability in life. This is a recipe for disaster in the legal community.
JOE:
Sean, how can this be resolved?
SEAN:
Joe, it can be an easy fix by hiring a legal support business like mine that focuses on open lines of communication and client development. Many times, the courts will allow a motion for these types of legal support / social work services. In general terms, the courts want people treated fairly and these services are often offered at no cost to the client.
JOE:
Is there a term the client could use when they are requesting the service with their lawyer?
SEAN:
Yes, there is Joe. The correct term is Social Service Expert. Lawyers know the term and these types of legal support services are part of any good legal counsel’s toolbox.
At LPDAM.org, we are the best of the best in the private investigative industry. You can find investigators that are also social service experts on our website. We help people who have been wronged. Remember, your in good hands with LPDAM.

LPDAM Case Files: Community support
JOE:
Sean, are people treated differently from Court to Court?
SEAN:
This is a tough questioned Joe. In general, most people are treated equally, and the laws are applied
fairly. With that said, an exception to this would be people with disabilities. This specific population is
challenged with understanding the process, communicating with their lawyer, and with making rational
decisions. Many Judges struggle with allowing support services to individuals with disabilities that they
cannot visually see. Support services are available to help open communications lines and assist with
making good sensible decisions with regards to their case.
JOE:
When you say people with disabilities, who do you mean?
SEAN:
Well Joe, this population would include people who are intellectually disabled, who have mental health
issues, or substance abuse histories. Although the Court services disabled individuals, however, seldom
allow any concessions for their disability. This occurs because the court is trying to move the docket
rather than addressing the community issue. You know Joe, District Courts are our community Courts.
So, this is a perfect place to use an existing criminal allegation to provide appropriate services in an
attempt to curve future victimization within our communities. No one likes being victimized!
JOE:
Your right about that Sean. Why would you say individuals within the disabled community are receiving
less in a court setting?
SEAN:
Joe, this population often receives less because the lawyer believes incorrectly that they are
communicating with their client. An example that there are communication issues between lawyer and
client is when the Client repeatedly asked the same question over a period of time. Change is coming,
but slower than we had hoped. I am now in 17 courts assisting this issue and its amazing to see Clients
invest in themselves and become good productive citizens in our community. With the right support
systems, anything is possible.
Joe, these services are accessible to lawyers representing their Clients in district Courts. Often times,
the client can receive these services for free and they are a powerful tool in a lawyer’s toolbox. The
Client just has to ask their lawyer for the services. There is a lot of value in social work services at the
district court level.
At LPDAM.org, we understand people; what makes them tick; and how to help them. If its an

Sean, do private Investigator’s specialize in certain things or do they all do the same thing?
SEAN:
Joe, private Investigators, like lawyers and many other professionals in other industries have specialty areas of practice. In my case, it’s mental health & the intellectual disabled. I have my masters in social work & am on the State’s Social Service expert list. Other licensed professional investigators focus their practice around surveillance, cyber security, background checks, or executive protection.
Joe, I believe anyone doing what they love will produce a better product. At LPDAM, we look for these professionals and offer them membership. Our vetting process allows us access to professionals who are invested in their profession. Our members care about their client. It is obvious in their work product. You can find a professional by going on our website.
JOE:
I did notice on the LPDAM.org website, the “find an investigator” tab is designed to find the right investigator. This is a great feature!
SEAN:
It is Joe. Finding the right anything is hard. LPDAM has found a way to allow the consumer access to the best in the private Investigator business. If you use a LPDAM member business, there is a high probability you will get positive results for your situation. When a LPDAM business does the investigative work, history shows it will stand up in court! This matters; and it’s a major contributing reason on why people win or lose their case.
Joe, when investigative services are needed, LPDAM has an investigator for you! “Remember, you’re in good hands with LPDAM.”

LPDAM Case Files: Private investigative licensing
JOE:
Sean, why is it important to get work done by a Licensed Massachusetts private investigator?
SEAN:
Well Joe, if the information has true relevance or it’s going to be used at court, a licensed private
investigator is the appropriate professional to provide data that is going to be used in any factual
setting. Getting information from an unlicensed person is like watching the news feed. There may be
10% truth and a whole lot of opinion. You hire a professional to get professional results! Think of this
way; you wouldn’t go to the doctor with a legal question or a lawyer for a medical diagnosis? Each
professional licensing group has specific qualifications to protect the consumer and the private
investigative industry is no exception.
JOE:
Sean, what happens when someone hires a person or business that is unlicensed? We know the
internet is full of them.
SEAN:
Joe, the information is useless in any court proceeding. LPDAM members have access to secure
database programs that are not available to the public. Our members cross reference the information
with other secure database programs that acquire data for law enforcement Agencies and specialized
industries like ours. Just to have access, we have to provide our license and pass a background check.
JOE:
So, the information your members can get is way beyond anyone in the public has access to.
SEAN:
That’s correct Joe! If you need facts to make better decisions or to win your court case; we have an
LPDAM member for you. Remember, you’re in good hands with LPDAM.
