The Joe Mangiacotti Show – April 10, 2025
Good morning, New England. I’m Joe Mangiacotti, and you’re tuned into The Joe Mangiacotti Show, right here on WCRN, AM 830. Broadcasting from the center of the dial, the center of New England, and the center of real talk—the kind of conversation that brings common sense back into the fold.
Let’s not waste any time, folks. We’ve got a lineup of stories today that span everything from political corruption to the latest international conflicts. And I promise you, after hearing what I have to say, you won’t look at the world the same way. Let’s dive right in.
1. The Fall of the Incumbent: Biden’s Final Months Revealed – Will the Democrats Ditch Him?
First up—President Joe Biden. As the calendar flips toward the final months of his first term, the cracks are starting to show. The big question everyone is asking: Is he going to make it to the finish line? With Biden's approval numbers in a tailspin and the Democrats scrambling to find a way out, we’re seeing a party in disarray.
Let’s face it: Biden’s presidency hasn’t exactly been a smooth ride. Between the disaster in Afghanistan, the skyrocketing inflation rates, and the growing crisis at the southern border, the man’s had a tough go of it. Now, we’re hearing murmurs about potential challengers within his own party. Could a challenger emerge from the left? Could someone from the moderate wing step up to save the Democrats from the implosion we’re witnessing?
It’s almost as if the Democrats are realizing that a sitting president—their president—might not make it to the next election. And that’s not something they want to think about. But the reality is, with the way things are going, Biden might soon be forced to step aside. The question is—who’s ready to take his place?
2. China Threatens to Kill More Americans Over Tariffs—And the Media Yawns – Why Aren’t We Paying Attention?
Switching gears, let’s talk about China. I don’t know about you, but I’m getting tired of hearing how we’ve let China dictate the terms of our lives. Now, on top of tariffs and economic back-and-forth, we have the Chinese government threatening to flood the U.S. with fentanyl in retaliation for the latest round of tariffs.
For those of you keeping score at home, fentanyl is a killer. It’s responsible for tens of thousands of deaths every year, and now, China’s dangling the prospect of more poisoning in front of us as part of its economic strategy. Yet, how much of this do we hear about in the media? Hardly anything. And when it is covered, it’s treated like it’s just another trade dispute. No big deal, right?
I’m here to tell you—this is a big deal. We’re talking about a foreign government actively making decisions that threaten the lives of American citizens, and our leadership seems content to look the other way. China’s behavior should be the top story of the day, but instead, we’re distracted by things that have little to do with our immediate safety. Where is the outrage?
3. Dead Men Filing: DOGE Unleashes the Fraud Report of the Century – Crypto’s Dirty Secret
Next up—cryptocurrency. You remember the hype, right? Everyone was on board, buying up digital coins like they were going out of style. But now, we’ve got a major scandal coming out of the crypto world, and it’s worse than anything you’ve seen in the stock market.
We’re talking about a report detailing how dead men are filing for crypto claims. That’s right—people who aren’t even alive are apparently making money off digital currencies. And you want to talk about fraud? Well, this report has uncovered fraudulent activities of a scale that could make Bernie Madoff look like a boy scout.
The bottom line is this: Crypto is a mess. And while the media and tech bros like to paint it as the future of finance, the reality is much darker. There’s corruption, fraud, and a complete lack of oversight. And the fact that people are still buying into it? That’s the real scandal.
4. FAFO in Action: When Rage-Posting Meets Real Consequences – Social Media and the Price of Recklessness
Speaking of fraud—let’s talk about the FAFO generation. For those of you unfamiliar with the term, it stands for "F** Around and Find Out."* These days, it seems like everyone is rage-posting on social media, throwing out comments and opinions without considering the consequences. But guess what? There are consequences.
Whether it’s a cancel culture backlash or, in some cases, people losing their jobs over a tweet, FAFO is real. We’ve got individuals who are learning the hard way that being reckless on social media can come back to haunt them. But here’s the thing—accountability is good. If you’re out there spewing nonsense or hate, don’t be surprised when people take notice. You’ve got to live with the consequences of your words.
And let’s not forget the power social media has to make or break someone. It’s a double-edged sword, folks. But the real question here is—are we ready to face the impact of our own behavior online?
5. Feds Investigating Los Angeles Homeless Industrial Complex Spending – Will They Get to the Bottom of the Grift?
Now, let’s touch on something a bit closer to home—the investigation into the Los Angeles Homeless Industrial Complex. It’s been a long time coming, and finally, the federal government is taking a serious look at the fraud and waste surrounding homelessness funding in California.
Let me give you a little context—since 2017, LA’s budget for homelessness has grown by over 700%. That’s seven hundred percent—and yet, the problem keeps getting worse. Officials have been unable to account for the massive amounts of taxpayer money, and the crisis on the streets is far from over. Meanwhile, there’s evidence of enormous waste and corruption.
In fact, just recently, an independent audit revealed that contracts were awarded to companies with clear conflicts of interest. One former executive of the LA Homeless Services Authority even received a no-bid contract for six weeks of advisory work, which—no surprise—was paid at a rate of $60,000 for that short stint.
This is a classic example of what happens when bureaucracy runs unchecked. And now, we’re seeing the beginning of real investigations into how bad things have gotten. But here’s the question—will anything change? Or are we just going to continue watching this train wreck unfold?
6. Too Dumb to Vote? The View’s Sunny Hostin Just Said the Quiet Part Out Loud – The Elite’s Real Feelings About Democracy
And last, but certainly not least—let’s talk about what’s going on with The View. Recently, Sunny Hostin, one of their co-hosts, said something that we all know deep down, but she had the guts to actually say it out loud: she implied that some people are just “too dumb” to vote.
Now, this is a real problem, folks. The elitists out there think they know better than you. They think they’re more qualified to make decisions about your life, your future, and how you should live. But here’s the thing—democracy is about all of us. It’s about giving every citizen a voice, no matter their background or education level. And for someone like Sunny Hostin to openly express disdain for everyday people having a say in their government? That’s not just wrong—it’s dangerous.
When they start telling you that you’re too dumb to vote, they’re taking away your rights. And that’s a slippery slope we cannot afford to slide down.
So, there you have it, folks. From the chaos in California to the snide elitism of TV personalities, there’s a lot to unpack today. These stories are all part of the larger picture of a country that’s struggling to hold onto its values. We’ve got corruption, mismanagement, and people who think they know better than you. But here’s the thing—you do know better. And it’s time to demand more accountability, more transparency, and more respect for the principles that built this country.
We’re just getting started, and when we come back, I want to hear from you—your thoughts on these issues, your solutions, and where you think this country is headed. Stay with me, folks. This is The Joe Mangiacotti Show, and you’re listening to WCRN, AM 830—common sense conversation for the common sense citizen.
